I take Miki on the motorcycle with me in a pet carrier that is strapped onto my back seat. The one I have is from T-Bags and as someone already mentioned, Kuryakn also makes the Pet Palace. Originally, I had planned to carry her in a front pouch, much like the picture you showed. I tried it once with her helmet and doggles on, but rode on the back of my husbands bike with her. (The wind did pull at her helmet) I wanted to see how she would react before getting on my own bike with her. I decided after that ride, that it just didn't feel safe. I feel better with her in the pet carrier. God forbid, if there were an accident, I feel she is safer inside the carrier. If your bike has a tour pak, it could be strapped on there, as you are riding two up. Inside the carrier she is also protected from flying objects & bugs. The top and both sides can be unzipped but with mesh so she can see what's going on. If we get caught in rain, I just zip them up. Miki loves to ride with me (weather permitting). One other note.... make sure you carry water with you when traveling, as they get quite thirsty. |
