If it were me, I'd go with the 5-10 lb. dose for the first try, rather than the 10-20 lb. Also, Comfortis is only for fleas not ticks (although mine have had neither).

It works so well for mine, that I don't even have to use it monthly; I can go longer, so I just wait til I see fleas again and sometimes that has been 3 months out. Depends on their exposure and if they get started in your house or yard.
