CJ: I agree it is a training problem and am trying the no sniff command - but it is harder with an 'earth dog' to overcome instinct.
I adopted him at 18 months and have had quite a lot of issues to deal with so far. He is over 2 yrs now and doing very well in most things.
(On another matter, I am very sad that he has just been diagnosed with cataract in one eye that may require surgery. It was a great shock and came on so suddenly, but he is so healthy thank God in all other ways. It is very unusual at such a young age and I do feel so sorry for the poor little mite. Please excuse this post part as it is not in the right place, but I am so upset about this and had to tell someone!) |
I'm so sorry that your little guy needs cataract surgery. Please start a new thread as Alldogboots suggested in the Sick and Injured Forum to allow others to follow and support you.
