First off welcome to YT! Puppies can't hold themselves all that long at a time and I'm really surprised he waits till early morning to poo. You need to think of him as a real baby. They need frequent meals (every three or four hours at his age) and either a potty pad down inside of a expen attached to the front of a wire crate (crate door left open) or taken outside every three hours. You will lose sleep, but by the time he's about five or six months old, he may be able to go around 5 hours before going potty.
