On a different note I looked at the website above suggested and noticed.... I have been feeding my dogs the blue wilderness chicken.. I noticed it received 5 stars.. but the Blue Wilderness Salmon received 6 stars.. I didn't realize that the brand dog food was not the only thing to look into.. its also which meat product its based on? |
That site is a great resource, but I wouldn't worry too much about the difference between the site giving 5 or 6 stars. The #1 thing they're basing their rating system on is protient content (the higher the protein, the higher the score for the most part, it's not the only factor but the main one) The salmon probably is just a little higher in protien % plus they may be comsidering that the salmon is higher in Omega 3. The chicken is totally fine as is any food that gets a 5 star rating there. If you want to though and your dog will go for it

, you can safely change the "flavor" with each bag to give a wider range of protient sources

That's what I do.
