Hmm, Angie's List was going to be my suggestion. You can check this site for a AAHA accredited vet, but you may not find one close since it's not required.

Whatever vet you do choose, just keep in mind that not all of them take emergencies and a majority of the ones that do require you to be a regular client (since you said you'll be traveling to your established vet for routine exams, just wanted to let you know). Good luck on your search
