I have another dog who is 13 years old and when we first brought Poppy home my older dog Jess acted the same way. She acted scared at first then would sit by herself almost as if she was huffed. Remember to greet your older dog first when you come home and make sure he is fed first too.
Give the older dog lots of extra attention so that they dont feel left out and im sure (like my dogs) they will be friends very soon.
