I suppose you're right. However, dry food has more nutrition than wet food which is mostly water weight, so I figure that even if I microwave, he's still getting more nutrients than he would with wet food...plus, it's a tiny bit of water and 10 seconds microwaved, and it becomes a gravy which he eats anyway. The nutrients aren't evaporating. I wouldn't mix any other food with water because then it just turns to dry food floating in water, but with the Merrick, the tiny bit of water becomes a gravy.

I do give Archie completely dry food as well (Royal Canin) which he actually really likes. Also, milk bone dog biscuits for his teeth in addition to chew sticks and a peanut butter flavored tennis ball.

Wow...I wish I had my dog's life!!
