I use the washables I get from RDB911. I don't see anything wrong with having one in everyroom or at least on each level when they are young. You want to set them up for success. I have three out. One is in their xpen that they sleep in, so it really doesn't count for daytime usage. They have two they have access to during the day. One in the living room and one in the dining room. I have four kids using them so sometimes they get changed a couple times during the day. (only the girls use them, the boys go outside).

The one in the night pen doesn't get used that often, it is mainly for the occasional emergency. They usually can hold it all night. Anyway, nothing wrong with multiple pads..better that then letting them make mistakes that could have been avoided...
