Hi and welcome! I usually just go to "New Posts" to read and hit the "Post Reply" or "Quick Reply"(within the posting box) to type a comment. Look for the word "Upload" when in any mode involving pictures to browse your computer and upload pictures and "Manage Attachments"(I think it is) to upload a picture when you "Go Advanced" in posting a reply with added icons or attachments.
Just keep clicking on things to see what they do and reading the directions and eventually you will find your way.
