yes after eating all that after birth mine would be throwing up and diareah. I always try to take that away before she had a chance to eat it. They say it helps but mine did fine without it. I kept puppyfood and some stuff I got from my vet and kept it in front of her at all times. A nursing mom needs to eat a lot when she is feeding pups
