I think anytime you introduce a new dog to the house; the first dog can get stressed out. And Mickey is at an age where he is probably not all that interested in chasing around and playing with a puppy.

I second the advice to treat Mickey like a King. Pay more attention to him than you do your new puppy (which is hard). Feed him first; pet him first; greet him first; leash him up first; everything first for Mickey.

Mickey is worried that he has lost his status in your house. Show him that isn't true.
