We had Memphis done 6 weeks ago and had such an opposite experience. He also had 2 tooth extractions. When I picked him up a 4pm he was ready to roll. Wide awake, didn't seem to be in any pain and by 8pm that night we were having a hard time keeping him quiet on the couch. He kept wanting to get down and play with our lab. He was laser done, not sure if that makes a big difference or not but really, I worried and obsessed over nothing. No pain meds or anything. It was all very simple for us.
