This thread is a great idea! I have had a lot of fun reading everyone's stories. My first little yorkie I name Cricket when I got her at 8 wks of age (I have learned - way too young!). She was a little black puff of fur that chirped and hopped around like a Cricket. My second yorkie, Gidget, I got after Cricket passed. The husband wanted to name the 2nd one Cricket (he loved the name). I talked him into Gidget because it rhymed with Cricket (I know, I was not very creative with the second one's name - poor Gidget!).

My aunt's cat is named Cricket
