On your Gentle Leader thread, you stated you had a NEW dog. Don't blame us for "leaping" to the conclusion you just got another dog... for that is what you told us. We leapt nowhere, and didn't put words into your mouth.

So if you need a free lead what exactly are your financial circumstances? Did you not take into account the financial cost of owning a dog? did you plan to provide for their care over their lifetime? Through pet insurance, through savings, through care credit?

I do understand you can't plan for every eventuality, but life and s**t happens. But you do PLAN, and not the least of which is a financial care plan for your dog(s).

When my Magic was injured, I didn't PLan for an injury but I knew it could happen or something else could happen. Between the diagnostic tests and the remedial care we spent about $10K getting him well again. Which was about double the cost we had set aside when the injury occured. So we were lucky enough to juggle things around in our budget, forgo a new car, entertainment and vacation and provide a top notch solution for him.

Personally I'd sell everything I had to get the vet/medical care my dog needed. I'd take out a mortgage on our home. I do anything to see my dog (s) well again, even if I had to surrender a pup to rescue!!

Give Polo to me, I'd see he get the vet care he needed. Or surrender him to a rescue.
