. Since Yorkies have a single silky coat their hair tends to get dirty and greasy like human hair if it isn't washed often enough. Get a good, quality shampoo and conditioner and, most importantly, make sure you rinse all the product out of the hair or they will become itchy from the residue leftover.
Cairns that get properly hand plucked all their life have great coats. I love hand plucking Cairns. they are such fun little dogs
