if you didn't want all of this you should never have taken that poor baby into your home. rescuing a dog isn't always easy or cheap and it's always always a lot of learning and hard work to rehab them from whatever s**t their previous owners put them through. if you cannot take care of her and make her skin problems treated then you really should get her back to the rescue so they can find her a better suited home that is willing to put in the money, time and work for caring and treating her. it's not her fault she smells and it's not fair to her for you to have brought her into your life if you don't have the time and energy to give her all your love and care. |
I totally agree with this post. When you first rescued her , nobody said anything about her having any skin problems? I don't think these things just happen overnight, but it is a gradual process, which just becomes worse and worse if not treated properly. i understand that you wanted a healthy pet to love a snuggle up with, but whe we take on the responsibility of a dog , it is suppose to be for the good, bad , and ugly. it's a huge responsibilty, especially when they are ill. These are the times when our precious pets need us the most.
Take her to the Dermo. so she can be properly diagnosed and recieve the care and treatment she needs in order to become well. The smell is from the infection she has on her skin. It will not go away until she is treated for it the right way.
She sounds like she is suffering right now, and perhaps hurting too. I hope you don't give up on her.
