He should be ok as long as it doesn't persist (of course if it does or he has anything else go on, see your vet) but since it seems to be firming up and he's eating his own food and other wise acting normal, give the pumpkin a try as Duece said, or you can give him rice water (just boil white rice normaly but with twice the amount of water then drain out the water into a bowl and let cool to room temperature) and see if he'll drink it - that works amazingly for runny or too soft stools that are just cause by a minor tummy upset.
