Toby is a little sneak! I was sitting on the deck tonight reading and Toby and Speedy were out in the yard snooping around and the next thing I know, Toby is nowhere to be found. All I have to do is say "Toby want a treat" and he will come running but he didn't this time. So I ran in the house and got my husband and we went out front and started calling his name............nothing. So I went next door to the neighbor's back gate and opened it (they have a very tall privacy fence) and low and behold there stood my little Toby. He was giving me the look of "thank you for finding me mom!" He was very calm and let me pick him up. So I immediately went out back to find where he got out and sure enough, there was a space in the corner of the yard under our very large lilac bush where he got out. He's not very happy with mom right now because I blocked off his escape route! Thank goodness the neighbor had a fenced in back yard. After I blocked it off he was running around the yard looking for another way out so I decided to walk with him to double check for any other openings! These yorkies are little stinkers!
He NEVER used to try and get out until this week when our other neighbors started dog sitting for two blue heelers and now Toby thinks he's a BIG DOG and runs the fence trying to bite them through the fence. Thank goodness I know these dogs and they simply back off when Toby goes into guard mode. It's cute but could be dangerous! So please check your yard because now that everything is blooming it covers up possible escape routes! I don't know what I'd do without this little guy. He's my little buddy.
Now I can relax and watch American Idol. |
