It's Hard Work Potty training a Yorkie is VERY difficult in most cases. It takes praise, patience, and treats. We took Bella out every hour and said "go potty" for pee and "go poop". When she went we immediately as soon as she finished gave her a treat, right then and there and acted like fools with praise and excitement. We also watched her very carefully inbetween. She would start wandering and sniffing if she had to go and then we would whisk her outside. Limiting her area to roam to an ex pen is effective. Put it on tile, etc. where it won't matter if she has an accident. Also, be sure you are using an enzymatic cleaner that will remove all scent.
Don't give up, you will feel such a feeling of accomplishment. Believe me, it took us forever, but the love and affection, and JOY we receive from Bella was worth every inconvenience. She is now 100% trained and has only had 1 accident (our fault, we didn't see her by the door) in the last 1 1/2 years. It can be done.
