Tibbe loves training and doing tricks so much, I tell him "Stay", and despite how he hates getting his ear cleaning solution, he will shudder, "close" up his ears, etc., but will stay still as best he can. He'd rather perform his "trick" more than he hates getting that stuff in his ears! I just have a ham and as long as he thinks he is involved in performing a trick, I can get him to do a lot of things. I started training him to do this when he had an ear mite infection and he had to have regular cleaning and meds twice daily. If your dog is not big into training, it might not work, though. Hoe you find something that help! Good luck.
