Lexie is the same way, I have to put ear cleaner in her ears after her bath and as soon as she spots me reaching for the bottle she starts climbing up my chest to escape. One thing I've heard is to put her on a counter or table and have someone hold her, she'd be less likely to run. Lexie's ear drops are really watery so while holding her in one arm I take a small cotton ball and soak it with solution then sqeeze it in both ears, massage the ear and she's done. She doesn't find cotton ball threatning.
