Ha...I just remembered...my son, a car fanatic, did his senior chemistry project on why baby shampoo is used as a floating agent in car window tinting. He analyzed the chemical components of every ingredient. Now you've got me wanting to go digging through his old school boxes...lol
Your vet is probably right as far as it being safe, and they can lick their fur. The information I got was from breeders who are trying to grow coat, and that's different then just being safe, you want the hair to be glorious.
