I'm really confused as to why the OP is complaining that the responses were "mean". What I saw was excellent advice, geared towards preventing a potential tragedy, tendered by people who know their stuff. People who have seen the worst stuff first hand and would like to prevent others from going through the expense and pain that they have seen.

Once again, I want to commend the great breeders here who offer up sage advice, only to have it thrown back in your faces by people who only want to hear what they want to hear. Please don't think for a minute that your wisdom goes unheeded. You have all had a greater impact than you could ever even begin to know. I do believe that your efforts (despite being called 'mean' by some) has resulted in more healthier and happier dogs. Thanks again for all you do.
