You have alot of good advise here, so I won't be redundant, just one quick thing I wanted to point out. I personaly don't use anything at all made by Hartz (I think you said that's what shampoo you used after the human one). If I followed correctly he was itching before that, so it may not be the cause of the problem, I just really dislike that company. Working for a vet, we saw alot of cases of dogs and cats treated with their topical flea treatment that had really bad chemical burns (one cat even lost most of his fur and was foaming at the mouth). I don't know anything about what's in their shampoo, but I won't touch their products with a 10 foot pole after what I've seen. Like I said, not saying it was the cause of your problem, just wanted to point that out as an FYI Welcome to YT
