Does anyone have any suggestion for some good clippers for grooming? I do most of Layla's grooming at home now because I don't trust taking her to a groomer with her condition. I can take her to the vet for ear plucking, etc, but I will do the main clipping at home.
Right now we just have a tiny little Wahl clipper from Walmart which does not work so well. It was fine before when I would just use it on her ears, but it's not working out for her body. Layla's coat is thick and cottony and it always gets stuck and stops working.
I can't afford anything really expensive, and Layla doesn't have to look perfect (she's already perfect!
) but I'm just looking for something to get it done a little more quickly and with less frustration! Right now it can take me over an hour just to get half of her back cut, and she really doesn't want to sit for that long. We also need to shave down her butt area quite often because we express her pee and poop and it gets messy when her hair starts getting long!
