I agree. I would let the vet check out the cause for this episode and then show you personally how and let you watch, let him show you the pressure to use with his fingers against your own hand, etc., so as not to bruise the anals Since I've been a member of YT, I have learned of the different schools of thoughts on expressing and it is worth mentioning to your vet when you have your baby there - get his input.
