I can relate to rude co-workers and "friends". My fiance and I inherited an older female cat from his former room mate. She needed to be completely vetted as no one had ever tended to her needs. Long story short about a week before she was going to be spayed I noticed she had pus-like discharge. She went straight to the vet and neded emergency surgery due to pyometra. It cost us over $1000 and one rude co-worker said, "Are you crazy? I would have just told them to kill it!" Some people just DONT GET IT!!!!
I have a shih tzu also - they are the sweetest dogs (and very stubborn). Cassie is beautiful and I wish you many more happy years with her
