It does help a bit. It kind of confirms the fact that I'd probably be one of those that didn't like it... LOL. I just can't decide. It seems like it maybe wouldn't aid floating too much.

What were the main complaints from your customers who bought it?

I am concerned about this too... it does seem to have more flotation in front.

Well, I'm not sure. I believe most dock divers don't wear one. But they are allowed. I don't really see too many small dogs doing it... I'll look into it!
