I know exactly how you feel!!! I went through the same thing with Layla's paralysis and it really hurts. I had one friend, who had a dog of her own, and she told me she loves her dog and everything, but if she was in my place, she'd just put him down. I said "Even if he still loved you, licked you, remembered all the commands you taught him, and just wanted to be with you all the time? Even if he wasn't in pain?" and she said "Yup, it's for the best"
I was at work when she said that to me, and I went into the bathroom and cried a little. Of course, a couple of months later, she met a guy she liked, but he didn't like dogs, so she gave her dog away to someone else to make him happy
I would never do that. She did not love her dog like I love mine. Some people just don't get it, and that's why it's great to have places like YT! They can say things about you all they want, but they will never know the kind of love we share with our animals, and I would rather have that love than to be accepted by closed-minded people.
