I agree, somewhat -- but sometimes you don't get the service you pay for -- some of the high priced vets are Yorkie ignorant and irresponsible as well. If you are lucky, like I am, you CAN find a responsible, intelligent vet who knows Yorkies and who is willing to refer, research, and/or call other for a consultation with other vets if something "wierd" comes up that they aren't quite sure about. I love the vet practice I use and especially love the fact that my Dr. Amy has a special needs Yorkie and several other staff members have Yorkies and other small breeds. Plus, they are there for me 24/7/365. In cases of emergency they are only a call away. I can't believe that the new vet didn't contact the old one for records I thought that was just a routine part of changing vets.
