Welcome, Mr. Pucker. YT is a wealth of information and photo's and lots of stories.

I'm not good about anticipated weights but here is an example of a Yorkie's weight/age I got as a young puppy. When I got Jilly at age 4 1/2 mos., about mid-April, 1991, she weighed 2 1/2 lbs. and she was born on the day Desert Storm began, which I think was December 10, 1990. She grew to be 3 lbs., the weight she stayed at for the next 12 years.

When I got my present Yorkie, he was 9 mos. old and weighed about 4 1/2 lbs. and once he was about 14 mos., he weighed 5.3 lbs., which is what he still weighs.

Sounds from your little guy's weight, he might be more in the upper size range. I like all size Yorkies but cannot help but think the larger sized ones are less prone to injury as their body parts are just more substantial.
