This is soooo true, and i love this saying!!!
just adding my opinion to say that it is risky for any small dog to give birth...even if the male is small. she COULD give birth fine with a bigger dog as a sire...but the chances are far greater for there to be complications and you have to know that there is a REAL chance you could loose not only the puppies, but your baby too. if it was me, that is a chance that i would not be willing to take...and would get her an emergency spay ASAP.
you are not a bad person or mommy for having this happen. but now you know better AND you have a choice on how to proceed. good luck to little Bee with whatever you decide for her. our thoughts and well wishishes are with her
