 Joey
Hi: We are new to YorkieTalk.com. Joey is my Yorkie (he will be 4 years old in September). Joey has always been a sick little boy. When I got him at 3-1/2 months, he was constantly vomiting yellow bowel. We took him to the vet, and they did blood work thinking it could be a liver shunt. The tests came back negative for liver shuts and we moved on to an internal medicine doctor. She performed an endoscopy and found Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Joey will be on steroids and Reglan for the rest of his life. This poor little boy is always sick. We tried Duck and Potato prescription dog food and now are on Salmon and Potato. He even has special Salmon and Potato treats from Alaska. I am writing this to find out if there are other Yorkie's out there with this problem. We have spent thousands of dollars on Joey between doctors, blood tests, different kinds of foods, etc. I am grateful every day that Joey has come into my life and I am able to care for him (financially). I love my little boy! |
