I went away for a few days to Paris, and left Rizzo with a dog sitter who has a yorkie herself. She followed all of my instructions to a T (so far as I can tell) and he was all kinds of happy when I picked him up. Now that he is home, he's just laying around and not doing much. I've tried to get him to play ball, and run around outside and he didn't want to do either. He just trotted to his potty spot and came back to me to go inside.
He was so happy and energetic when I picked him up from her house. He's physically just fine as far as I can tell. He ate his dinner is drinking water and the "system" is processing normal.
I hope he's just exhausted from finally having a small dog to play with all weekend, though he isn't sleeping. He's just laying there staring off, and it's just so out of character for him to be pretty much ignoring me. Only bothering to acknowledge me when he needs something.
Anyone with similar experiences when you pick your pups up from the sitter?
I hope he's alright, I've never seen Rizzo in such a down mood before
and I've had him go to doggy sitters before, this is just the first time he's been "sat" with a small dog, and I think it's the longest he's been taken care of by another person...sigh.
