If you have a "feed and seed" type of store, go by there and purchase boric acid. It's a white powder, not liquid and not caustic. Sprinkle that on your carpets and brush in with a broom. This is the stuff that the companies in our area use to treat your house for fleas. The first time I had it done, a hundred years ago, I paid around $150.00 for them to do it. At the time, I asked what it was they were using and he told me....you can buy a bottle for around 5 bucks. Some people use the boric acid in their stables. It has never harmed my family or any pets.

I should tell you this will totally eliminate the fleas.

If you decide to try those flea bombs, if you have gas appliances, make sure your pilot lights are off. It's flamable.
