How many puppies are there? IMO, 4 weeks is still to young- at least wait for Some teeth before starting weaning; but if it is a big litter, some puppy formula or goats milk between meals wouldn't hurt... I always read about canned goats milk, bit I can't get it here so use puppy formula. Keep them away from solids for a while, they can't go straight from milk to solids or it will Hirt their tummies, so you may need to put mommas food up higher to stop them getting at it.
See how they get on with a bowl of warm (body temp) milk for a day or so before gradually adding baby rice... Their momma will tell you when it's time to start weaning properly, but that could be a few weeks yet, so don't panic!
