In our community we call Animal Control for things like this and they are kind enough to come. I actually found a baby garden snake in my den one day after we'd had work done in the house, grabbed Jilly and the phone and ran into the front yard to call for help! I actually had to stay out there until they came and retrieved it. The only other thing you can do is go to a hotel as if you are like me, you can not stay in a house that has an actual snake in it or its backyard! (Almost kidding - I am seriously phobic of snakes!) I hope your AC can help. I am shuddering for you just reading this!
