I just got my Verizon iPhone last week. My daughter has the Fascinate and my sister has a Droid. Previously I had a Blackberry. The biggest issue that I had when I tried to activate the iPhone was upgrading my iTunes. There is a glitch in the programming and I kept getting an error message when trying to uninstall the 7.0 and reinstall the 10.2 version. It was a total nightmare. Verizon said it was an Apple issue and Apple said it was not their problem. The phone would not work without having the iTunes up to date. There was a fix online but that did not work when I tried to use it, then I took the laptop to the CompUSA and they worked on it for about an hour until they gave up and told me to just buy a new one

THREE days later I called in RoboYorkie (Remote Tek Support) who spent 4 hours trying to remotely fix the problem! Oh BTW~he's great!! I also was not able to use the iTunes to transfer my contacts and had to make a visit to the Verizon store. It was all a huge PITA! Now that it's finally fixed and I'm getting use to the touch screen I am really starting to like it but I have to admit there was a point that I thought I made a great big mistake. Also, all the APS that my daughter and sister have are free and I've had to spend money to get the same APS for my iPhone.
