Is anyone familiar with the Park Cities Obedience School in Dallas, Texas?

My husband and I were not planning to get a dog this year, but do have a trip scheduled later this month for 10 days. Last week, a rescue Yorkie-Poo came to live with us after being passed around home-to-home and left to run free in our coyote-packed rural neighborhood. We really are the best home for her - but were previously committed to this out-of-town event.

She is a complete sweetie but we will need a trainer to work with her and us, so thought about looking for a boarding/training program for that time.

Park Cities Obedience School has great online reviews and a two-week on-site training program and would be a great solution to the dilemma we have since our unexpected bundle of joy pranced into our lives right at a time when we have to be away for such an extended period. I initially thought about telling the one kind owner in the chain-of-possession that we would love to have her but not until May 1, or explain our situation and see if she would take Sugar back for the 10 days we were gone. Unfortunately, she has a baby girl who suffers from a severe allergic reaction when any pet is indoors. That is why she re-homed Sugar the first time (she later took her back after finding the new owner passed her on to someone who let her run free).

Would PCOS be a good option for the 10 days we are out of town? Taking her with is not an option, but I'm already dreading leaving her with any 'unknown' and as much as we love and trust our long-time vet, boarding at a vet (any bet) seems risky since that's where sick dogs stay. Sugar is just so tiny (6lbs) and I want to be sure she's safe and well-care for.

We don't have in-home pet sitters where I live. Your thoughts? Esp. if you know anything about this place in Dallas.

Would also like a recommendation to a Yorkie-specialist or small breed vet in the North Texas area. Our vet is great - but I suspect that these tiny dogs may do best with someone who specializes in small breeds.
