Just because they tell you it is probably something does not mean it is. My old vet insisted Suki had ear mites and that was why she was scratching her head off. They also said the puking was due to her long hair, which is a load of bunk because I TOLD them it was just food... no hair. Then after not finding any mites they told me she was just neurotic
However, it sounds like my old vet is much more retarded than yours.

I'd see if the flea meds work, but at this point it is going to be trial and error with everything. Usually you can see flea dirt with fleas... did you find any?
