A friend of mine is a breeder but not of Yorkies. She had a prospective owner come to meet her and see the puppies she had available. The lady never met the puppies. She met my friend and as they were talking she was asking about how big the puppies would probably get. My friend told her that she could not give any guarentees but that they would be between 5 and 8 pounds full grown based on the parents and their size so far. (The puppies were 8 weeks at the time). The lady told her that they were going to be way to big. She was looking for something for her and her daughter for around 3lbs max full grown. My friend tried really hard to discourage her but the lady left determined that she would find and buy a puppy that size.
To me that is very frustrating because my friend was trying to tell her the information and warnings that she needed to hear and she was just refusing to listen. |
