It is interesting that what used to be considered a "runt" and unacceptable is now a "tea cup" and what was considered a "mutt" is now considered a "designer breed". I dont get it.
My first dog (many years ago) was a poodle that weighed in at 2lbs. She was purchased for me as a gift and was less expensive due to her size. I was told by our vet to enjoy her because she wouldn't see 5yrs,she passed at the age of 13yrs. She was my one true friend as I went through the teenaged years.
So true. Marketing has changed the way people sell/view these dogs.
