I've watched this show a couple of times now, and although their savings is impressive, it wouldn't be for me. To be that successful with couponing you have to devote serious time to gathering (and sometime spaying for) coupons, making lists, watching sales, hours shopping and ...OMG...the checkout would be a nightmare!

For awhile I did belong to a "Frugal Mom" newsletter. The writer always reminded us of just how valuable your time is. And if your time could save more or make more money doing something else besides couponing, you were better off.

I shop mainly the perimeter of the store and you don't find too many coupons for those items....fresh foods. I have found several grocery items we use, through Amazon subscription service and do save about half of what Wal Mart charges, like for coffee, tea, etc.

I don't need (nor have the room for) a stockpile of toothpaste, deodorant, gatorade, or 150 boxes of pasta. I did wonder how that one woman would ever use 7 gallons of milk before it's expiration date was up.
