Well, I stopped and checked on him. He was laid out in the street, not moving. We couldn't leave him like that so decided to 'put him out of his misery'. I don't think either one of us had the heart to do it because we stood there....standing over the squirrel...debating it for a couple of minutes. Before we could decide on who would do it, the squirrel got up and ran off!

Awwww. Happy for the squirrel...and glad neither of you had to help him out of his misery. It's so nice you stopped to check on him

. I know it happens all the time, but I would just lose it if I hit an animal. I once swerved to avoid a possum, and um, proceeded to flip my '78 Corolla four times. Ooopsie. At least the possum was fine
