I feel your pain. I know how this can be & also tried the Ibuprofen. For me, it seems to come and go & unfortunately, has been occuring for about 6 months. I finally discussed with my doctor on last visit & he sent me for xrays. Will find out soon if anything shows up. I cannot find the "perfect" pillow for sleeping, but unsure if it's because of my neck or, if that is the cause of the pain?
My neck pain first appeared during problems with kidney stone & stress.
