This is a huge red flag. It doesn't make sense that any breeder would go to the expense of breeding and the costs of puppies, and not have paid the few dollars to register the parent(s). At the very least, it likely means that the parent(s) were pet quality, sold on a limited registration & she bred them anyway. Always ask to see the pedigree of the parents. A quality breeder is proud to show it.
