Wow! I'm going to try that... I agree, putting heat on your neck helps to relax the muscles, then I do very slow range of motion stretches, ear-shoulder each side, chin-chest, then look side to side slowly, then place both hands on the back of my neck just under my skull, and do very slow rotations with my head, both ways. My hands help support my neck on the rotation towards my back. Then rest 30-60 minutes, and repeat if needed.
