We have four yorkies in our home. Dixie is almost 3 and Daisy is 1. They are my dogs. Teddy is also almost 3 and belongs to my daughter and Max is 3 and a half and belongs to my other daughter. Amongst the four of them Dixie is the most high strung. We live close to Quantico marine base in VA and many days can hear loudly the booms and noises from the training they do there. Also there are days we get our share of loud thunder storms. Even noise from wind. Dixie gets so scared. I keep her in the house, turn on the televisions to drown out the noise, hold her, talk to her but she just is in such a state. She cannot relax and calm down. She wants to be with me but is not content to be held. She just shakes and shakes and is so upset. I cannot get her to go outside even if I take her. It takes a long time after the storms or booming stops before she will start to calm down. I hate seeing her like this. Does anyone else notice this in their little one?
