Same here! I talked with dh before we got Gypsy. I told him my heart had a hole in it for a small dog. He sat aside money when tax refund was due. He never liked dogs in the house. Then I told him I was going to buy him a dog for his birthday. I sd Gypsy needed a pet too. He sd he wanted a chihuahua as he considered it "a redneck dog". He has family members who have them and they are rednecks. I agreed if it was a long hair chi. I saw a pic in paper of a boy and girl. He went on his own to look as he was interested in the boy. He wound up falling in love with the girl so Puff became our 2nd pup. We now have 4 dogs and he has "put his foot down": No more.
